Dreaming to be the part of animation industry, Eka took his first step by going to San Francisco and enrolling at the Academy of Art University to get his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in 3D Animation.

 

Every semester Eka polishes his skills and experiments with new 3D software to expand his skill-set. During this time, he has gained an enormous knowledge of human body mechanics.In his senior year, Eka participated in the Pixar class, where he was able to learn from Senior Animators from Pixar. There he developed a good sense of timing in his animation, honing his eyes so that he can spot a subtle mistake, as well as communication skills.

 

Besides the 3D Animation Program, Eka has also learned figure drawing and modeling which helps him with gesture, weight, and anatomy.

 

Eka has also contributed in several collaboration projects such as a music video for "Glass Butterfly" and a short cinematic for "Borderlands 2." He has learned to manage his time efficiently and works well in a team with other animators. He has experienced the professional workflow and meeting strict deadlines.

 

His inspiration comes from classic animation movies such as Monster Inc., Tarzan, and Toy Story. He was fascinated by the story line and the thought process it took to create such amazing movies. From that moment on, he was passionate towards animation, which he build on every single day. His journey still continues.
